Dealing with Life
Life got in the way this week. I had a bout of sickness and of crazy busyiness, so I was late to get anything on my blog. I apologize. All I can say is that I had really great intentions to have this blog on prior to this late hour.
Anyway, I wanted to tell you what a great time I've been having leading a Bible study on The 5 Love Languages.
This is the 4th time I've led this study and the third time that it's been with all women. If you haven't read Gary Chapman's book The 5 Love Languages, I really encourage you to do so. And if you get a chance to do it as a Bible study - all the better.
One of the things we've zeroed in on during the study is that this study is great for more than just husbands and wives. The 5 Love Languages are vital for all relationships - be they with children, parents, friends or even enemies.
The focus is on how we give and receive love. Chapman points out the following ways:
Words of Affirmation
Acts of Service
It's amazing to read and learn about how you personally receive love. Me? I'm a quality time person. When people give me quality time - it really says "I love you."
What's your love language? From this list - what makes you really feel special, cared for and loved?
God Bless You!
