Guess the feet (and more on brainstorming retreat)

I got home a little before midnight last night so am posting a very quick post for today (Tuesday). What a fabulous trip and time of rejuvenation and brainstorming with the Ladies of Coeur d'Alene this year. So precious. It was our tenth reunion and such fun!

Here are some glimpses from the weekend...

The group of CdA Ladies (minus sweet Sunni Jeffers who couldn't join us this year)

YUMMY fruit salad (the food we fix is always delicious!)

Guess the feet! Whose foot is whose? There are 3 of us who have size 9.5 feet or larger. Can you guess who these feet belong to? And no, we didn't plan the matching color!

Parting is such sweet sorrow...
Wait, Sharon's smiling like crazy. She must be glad to be leaving me! Hey...

Lovely wildlife

And beautiful walks... Does it get any better?

Acting a little silly with Karen Ball and our own Robin Lee

When's the last time you got to get away? Got to be with a group of women that you love? That make you laugh? Friends that know you inside and out and yet love you anyway?

  1. Okay, here's my 'feet' guess, left to right: Tammy, Tricia, Frani.

As for the last time I got together with women I love? It was a small group, but Lori Seilstad and Dawn Ford came down to Topeka for a few days. We had a good time cooking together, talking books, taking a side trip, laughing and fellowshipping. :)

  2. Love these photos Tammy. Hmmm, not sure about the feet, except I agree with Judy that the pair on the left side is you! ~ There's nothing like being with a group of precious friends--and I treasure my "Besties" from high school (5 of us, and we still get together every 2-3 months--Love those girls!). ~ May I share a personal praise today?--Thanks!*wink* ~ Yesterday I went for my 2-year follow-up with my wonderful Neurosurgeon (he performed my 4 spinal surgeries in 2010). Not only did he give me a GREAT report, but we talked about how the Lord used his (the doctor's) hands to work on my back--AMAZING!!! (He also told me that I still "hold the record" for the most difficult surgeries he's ever done, since my back was so deformed)~ Such a testimony to what God can do through His believers! ~ ~ Thanks again for this post, and I'm in awe of all that TALENT gathered in one place in Idaho! Hugs, Patti Jo

  3. I agree with the ladies...your feet are on the left, but no idea where to begin guessing for the others!

Patti Jo, so happy to hear of your good news! What an awesome praise!!

Continued prayer request: I have an interview with Metro Nashville Schools tomorrow at 2 pm! I'm excited, but nervous, as this position JUST popped open on Friday (HUGE thank you to the SLP I worked with in Wilson who transferred to Metro and called me when she heard of the opening!). It would be at a great school within 15 minutes of home. The interview with Clarksville schools went AWESOME but it's an hour drive to the closest school. Definitely praying for God's will in this!!

And Cathrine, I'm praying that interview goes well tomorrow. Sounds like a perfect job for you!

  5. Hey gals! I've been hidden away all day trying to get some writing done. I feel that clock majorly ticking again...

First, Judy! HOW did you know that!!??? Perfect guess!!! You get the prize, lady! If there was one. ; )

Patti Jo, what a praise! Thanking God again for the miracle he worked through that doctor's hands! So glad you're doing so well, friend. Love that you still get together with your *Besties.*

Catherine, we're praying for you! Let us know how things go!

Now off to watch some Olympics and walk off a tiny portion of the food I ate this weekend. But it was sooo good!!

  6. Yesterday!!! Four of us had an outing to celebrate Monday's B-Day of one. Antiquing, quilt shop, and Fajitas for lunch! My husband made homemade zucchini nut bread for a cake in a bundt pan. We enjoyed when we returned ~*~ actually, we took it to another's home to continue our laughing party while he went to bed. Fun day! We traveled an hour away to a larger community. Fun being together.
[Everyone else has commented on July 31, so we celebrated on "your today."]

  8. Earlier this week, my 2 sisters-in-law and I rendezvoused (sp?)in Birmingham and had a delightful time! It was the first time we'd ever done that... and we've been related now for 23 years. :-/

I must say though, that I'm kinda envious of being able to get together with a group of ladies like that for so many years. :) My sil had just come from a similar group of college friends. I'm looking forward to reading the books that'll come out of y'all's time!

  9. Your girl time sounds fabulous, Cyndi! Better late than never! Isn't it wonderful to know people that truly know you––uglies and all––and yet love you anyway.
