My country,' tis of thee,
sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing;
land where my fathers died,
land of the pilgrims' pride,
from every mountainside let freedom ring!
sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing;
land where my fathers died,
land of the pilgrims' pride,
from every mountainside let freedom ring!
My native country, thee,
land of the noble free, thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
thy woods and templed hills;
my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.
land of the noble free, thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
thy woods and templed hills;
my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.
Let music swell the breeze,
and ring from all the trees sweet freedom's song;
let mortal tongues awake;
let all that breathe partake;
let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong.
Our fathers' God, to thee,
author of liberty, to thee we sing;
long may our land be bright
with freedom's holy light;
protect us by thy might, great God, our King.
author of liberty, to thee we sing;
long may our land be bright
with freedom's holy light;
protect us by thy might, great God, our King.
I hope none of you will mind that I’ve ‘borrowed’ Robin’s beautiful post from last July 4th. May you all have a blessed Independence Day!
~Judy

We don't mind at all that you borrowed Robin's post Judy. You are one brave lady to even attempt the blog tonight. You have my Prayers.
ReplyDeleteRobin! Hugs and Prayers coming to you from "Down Under" too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Rosie. This summer has been harder for me than the first year, I think.
ReplyDeleteGood evening and happy 4th to all of you. Robin and Judy, you two have been close to my heart the last couple of days.
ReplyDeleteI hope all of you have had a wonderful day. :-) We had a family reunion out in West Tennessee today, got home around 6:00, laid down for an hour nap at 7, and at 8:30, we were forcing ourselves out of bed!! Take care and *hugs* all around!
Hi ladies!
ReplyDeleteI had a great 4th. Family visiting and we were guests at a big BBQ. Hope that all of you are okay. Sending hugs to all!
I went back and just checked the previous post that I had not read and saw the comments on Robin and Judy. I just want to say that my prayers are with you. I understand how you must be feeling and my heart goes out to you. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and He is faithful in doing that. I pray that His Peace, Love and Strength be made known to you right now in Jesus' name.
ReplyDeleteTake care and sending many hugs.
Thanks, precious Judy, and continued prayers for you. ~ Robin, praying for you too, dear lady. ~ Sorry I'm a day late in chiming in--with the family cook-out here yesterday I didn't even get close to my computer, LOL. But it was a fun day. ~ Hugs, Patti Jo
