I'm so excited to share more of Bob Green's character with you in To Whisper Her Name.
And it's CONFIRMED! We're having a launch booksigning of To Whisper Her Name on Saturday, November 10 (1PM - 3PM) at Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville. And you're invited! Something really fun too… Belle Meade is developing a special To Whisper Her Name Tour for readers.

I hope you'll join me on Saturday, November 10 (1PM - 3PM) for the booksigning and a time to visit Belle Meade together. And yes, this is open to the public. So everyone is welcome! |
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday yesterday. I did! We cooked out brisket, played Nertz (which I lost terribly at), and made some absolutely delicious Southern Peach Ice Cream. Oh, it was scrumptious! I'll share the recipe on my Facebook page later today. But I also made a big mistake! I accidentally set Stephanie Grace Whitson's guest blog to post in the PM instead of the AM. So please scroll down and read Steph's wonderful and information blog about the history behind her most recent book. It's fascinating!

But before you do, tell me what you did yesterday. Inquiring minds want to know! Tammy |

Good morning Tammy :-) Looking forward to exploring Belle Meade with you in November.
ReplyDeleteAs for yesterday, my family usually all get together, but with the new school year (my mom is a high school math teacher) and my parents taking care of my 95 year old aunt, they decided yesterday was their day to do nothing. Erik and I were very ok with that as well since we've been pretty exhausted lately. So we ended up playing a computer game together through the morning, then I painted a game figure while he played the Xbox...and then we finished the evening off with "Mirror, Mirror." Did the long weekend have to come to an end??
Hey Tammy, Absolutely LOVED seeing your latest vignette and learning a little more about "Uncle Bob." Wish I could join you for the book launch. I know it will be a great time--especially the special tour. Really exciting stuff!
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy!
ReplyDeleteLoved the video and am enjoying hearing/reading the history of Bell Meade not forgetting "Uncle Bob.":)
I sooo want to join you in Nov..the tour would be fantastic. Do you suppose there would be a video taken of the actual tour that you could share with us in your post?
We did not have a public holiday yesterday..our Labour Day is in October, but what we did celebrate, was Father's Day on Sunday 2nd September. A good time was had by all and Pete and Andy enjoyed the luxury treatment for being Father's! LOL!
Pardon my ignorance, but I have to ask...what is Nertz?
Take care sweet lady!:)
Hello, Tammy! *waving
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for Uncle Bob and his wisdom. I look forward to his appearance and learning about the Belle Meade Plantation in "To Whisper Her Name."
Next to dogs, horses are my second favorite animal (then cats--for you cat lovers to know I didn't forget about you). I've "owned" (used lightly) all three. Just love them.
Southern peach ice cream? When will you be making some for your friends here at WoP? Hmmm..? ;-)
We had a relaxing day yesterday.
Love to all!
Hi Tammy and Wr. of Passage friends! I tried to comment earlier but blogger wasn't "playing nicely"*sigh*. ~ SO enjoying these video vignettes, Tammy--you're doing an amazing job with your presentations. I was already looking forward to reading TWHN, but each time I view a Belle Meade video, it really "whets my reading appetite"LOL. And Uncle Bob sounds like a fascinating man--cannot wait to meet him. ~ My Labor Day was very nice--celebrated a nephew's birthday AND my oldest sister's recent purchase of a new home on St. Simon's Island! I always enjoy family gatherings and feel that Mama and Daddy must be smiling down on us from Heaven (and glad that we've kept our traditions going). Hugs, Patti Jo
ReplyDeleteLOL, ladies. Y'all make me smile. I've been hidden away most of the day, working, working. And apparently missing all the playing going on here. Catherine and all, I appreciate the insights into how you spent your holiday yesterday...
ReplyDeleteRosie! NERTZ is a card game. It's like "Group Solitaire," of sorts. Except played very quickly!!!!! I gave up trying to win at that a long time. Hey, know your strengths, right?
Thanks for watching the video, friends. Judy, I wish you were going to be here too. What fun we'd have!
I tell you, I've fallen in love with Southern history all over again. Especially since I'm writing about real people who really lived. That makes the writing all the more "real" for me. Loving that part of it!
Patti Jo, I'm sure your parents were smiling, dear friend. No doubt about it!
Appreciate you all! Now off to read some before calling it a day. Hugs all around!
Oh and Miriam, I'm passing you your bowl of Southern Peach Ice Cream. Don't let it melt!
Awwww....:(
ReplyDeleteWish I could be in Nashville....
Have fun all!!!
