Giggles

"I'm so kewl. Pick me. Pick me!
No--wait! Don't pick me!

It's been one of those days where everything is hitting my funnybone.

Since folks here on Writespassage enjoy cracking up, I decided to share some pictures. Please make up different captions for some of them. I'm in the mood for more giggles--aren't you?

Alas! Poor Yorik, I knew Him well!

Your tax dollars paid for this sign.
Betcha nobody runs this stop sign anymore!

Me? Prickly? Never.
All ya gotta do is wink.
I only nit pick because I love you.

How did I get in here?
*think fast, think fast*
"That same stork that dropped me down the chimney..."
YES! I HAVE PMS!

NAY! I vote Neighhhhhh!

No, George. Even if you bagged it, it won't fit in the oven.

All we are, we owe her. All we are, we owe her.
Yikes! Watch out for the flying monkeys!

They all think this is the Wizard of Oz.
Let them believe their fantasy.
It keeps them from asking if we're there yet.

There they are. A bunch of photos and the random
thoughts that ran through my warped mind.
My hearing isn't very good.
I probably didn't hear some of the people or animals correctly.
So help me out. What did they REALLY say?
I have $5 Starbucks gift cards for the three best new captions!
Love and giggles,
Cathy

  1. Hahaha You gave me my laugh for the day. I love the shark sign ending in "okay".

Oh and just so everyone else knows it - Kindle has a lot of Cathy Marie Hake books at great prices. Just had to advertise for my friend. :D

  2. Kindle has a bunch of Tracie's books, too!
They can be downloaded onto a computer. I use my reading program, and it reads the books aloud to me. Folding clothes or dusting is a lot more fun when someone tells me a story.

  4. Oh Cath!! How FUNNY!!! And you did a terrific job with the captions---so besides writing great books you can also write great captions for funny pictures.*grin* The only one my very tired brain can come up with right now is the prickly one: Ever have one of those bad hair days? ~ Maybe other folks will be more original, LOL (as YOU were with your captions). Thanks for sharing your giggles with us today--the world needs more giggles. Love, PJ

  5. Isaiah--yes, the witch's guards chant "All we are, we owe her." Many believe Baum actually wrote the story as an allegory about whether America should change from the gold standard to silver. "Follow the yellow brick road" now takes on a completely different meaning, doesn't it? The Land of OZ--oz is the abbreviation for ounce. The scarecrow represented farmers; the tin man represented factory workers, and the cowardly lion was William Jennings Bryant--the Democratic nominee for president who wanted a bimetal system. ORIGINALLY in the book, Dorothy's slippers were silver. When they made the movie, they wanted to show off color technology and changed them to ruby slippers!
Cathy, wondering why my brain clings to weird information but can't remember names or do math!

  6. PJ! Oh, you gave me the giggles. I just caught sight of myself in the mirror. I look like I stirred my hair with chopsticks and chainsaws! That porcupine might be having a bad hair day, but I'm afraid I may never get this mess straightened out!
